Dans le monde entier, les avantages de la cicatrisation des greffes de membrane amniotique sont reconnus depuis longtemps dans le domaine des victimes de br\u00fblures et du traitement des plaies. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 prouv\u00e9 que l\u2019utilisation de la membrane amniotique favorise et acc\u00e9l\u00e8re le processus de gu\u00e9rison de diff\u00e9rents types de plaies, am\u00e9liorant ainsi les r\u00e9sultats et la qualit\u00e9 de vie des patients. Malgr\u00e9 ces avantages, le traitement des plaies et des interventions chirurgicales pose d\u2019importants d\u00e9fis cliniques et financiers au syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 canadien. Par exemple, il y a tr\u00e8s peu de fournisseurs de membranes amniotiques au Canada et, par cons\u00e9quent, ces produits sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement import\u00e9s des \u00c9tats-Unis \u00e0 un co\u00fbt substantiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Par exemple, il n\u2019existe que tr\u00e8s peu de produits de cicatrisation. Pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 ces probl\u00e8mes, Amnion, par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire de Sinai Trust, a cr\u00e9\u00e9 des produits de cicatrisation \u00e0 partir de membranes amniotiques provenant de placentas de donneuses, afin d\u2019accro\u00eetre l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux greffons sur le march\u00e9 canadien des soins de sant\u00e9 de mani\u00e8re rentable. Le placenta, un organe contenant une membrane amniotique qui se d\u00e9veloppe dans l\u2019ut\u00e9rus pendant la grossesse, est normalement \u00e9limin\u00e9 apr\u00e8s l\u2019accouchement. Amnion fonctionne en conservant la membrane amniotique pour cr\u00e9er un pansement aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s cicatrisantes efficaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avant ce projet de commercialisation de CAN Health, le Sinai Health System vendait le placenta donn\u00e9 \u00e0 une entreprise \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du Canada qui l\u2019utilisait pour fabriquer des greffes de membrane amniotique. Sinai Health rach\u00e8terait ensuite ces greffons pour des soins cliniques. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce projet, le travail de grande valeur de Sinai Health reste au Canada et les dollars canadiens sont d\u00e9pens\u00e9s chez nous. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
