10 – 30% of patients develop chronic post-surgical pain (CPSP), continuing at least three months after surgery. Individuals with CPSP often experience poor quality of life, opioid abuse, and physical and psychological impairments. Consequently, there is an urgent need to expand the capacity and accessibility of services that mitigate the risk of CPSP across Canada.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Actuellement, en Alberta, le Service de gestion de la douleur transitionnelle (SGDT) offre ces soins, mais ils ne sont disponibles que pour un nombre restreint de patients par an qui peuvent physiquement se rendre \u00e0 la clinique du SGDT du Campus de sant\u00e9 Sud de Calgary. Conscients de ce probl\u00e8me, les Services de sant\u00e9 de l\u2019Alberta (SSA) ont cherch\u00e9 une solution qui permettrait aux cliniciens du SGDT de fournir des soins \u00e0 distance aux patients qui ne peuvent pas se rendre au campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ManagingLife\u2019s solution, Manage My Pain, is the world\u2019s first and only digital solution for chronic pain that has been clinically-validated to improve patient outcomes. This solution was designed to help patients better understand their condition, use self-management strategies confidently, and communicate with their care providers virtually. Manage My Pain allows patients to\u00a0 track, analyze and monitor their symptoms and treatments, and share their data with their clinicians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les SSA ont adopt\u00e9 Manage My Pain (G\u00e9rer ma douleur), ce qui leur a permis de fournir davantage de soins \u00e0 un nombre accru de patients post-chirurgicaux, ind\u00e9pendamment de leur lieu de r\u00e9sidence. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce projet, les SSA souhaitent accro\u00eetre leur aptitude et leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 offrir des soins aux patients atteints de DCPO d\u2019une mani\u00e8re plus efficace, efficiente et b\u00e9n\u00e9fique qu\u2019auparavant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
