March 26, 2025 (Oakville, ON) – The CAN Health Network is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Vector Institute, a globally-renowned AI institute accelerating AI adoption and commercialization across Canada. Together, the two organizations are collaborating on HealthSpark—Vector’s newest program designed to propel Canadian AI-driven health solutions in Southern Ontario.

HealthSpark is set to support Canada’s most promising startups and scaleups developing transformative AI solutions in health and life sciences. The program offers access to top-tier technical expertise, hands-on advisory support from health leaders, and crucial market entry opportunities—all designed to tackle the sector’s most pressing challenges and fast-track the adoption of AI.

Through this new partnership, the Vector Institute gains access to the CAN Health Network’s national ecosystem of leading health care operators, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers. This connection will amplify HealthSpark’s reach and strengthen the validation process for AI-driven solutions, ensuring selected companies are primed for success. Selected companies may also have the opportunity to connect with CAN Health Network’s health care operators, or Edges, to gain insights and explore ways to refine their innovations with the potential for clinical application.

The 2025 HealthSpark program is seeking AI solutions in three key areas:

  • Advanced Diagnostic and Therapeutic Techniques – Harnessing AI for breakthroughs in image-guided therapy, oncology, and digital pathology.
  • Primary Care Innovation – Enhancing patient engagement, remote monitoring, and primary care delivery through AI-driven tools.
  • Health Platforms and Infrastructure – Developing cutting-edge digital twin solutions, digital front-door strategies, and open-source collaboration platforms.

This partnership marks a major step forward for Canadian health innovation, working to strengthen Canada’s position as a global leader in AI-driven health solutions.
