March 25, 2025 (Oakville, ON) – The CAN Health Network is pleased to welcome Tali AI, a Toronto-based company reducing administrative burdens for clinicians through its innovative voice-enabled and generative AI assistant.
One of the biggest challenges in health care today is the overwhelming administrative workload placed on clinicians. According to a 2023 survey by the Ontario College of Family Physicians, primary care physicians in Ontario spend an average of 19 hours per week—40% of their time—on administrative tasks. This inefficiency contributes to burnout, reduced job satisfaction, and delays in patient care.
To help address this problem, Tali AI offers a real-time, voice-powered AI assistant that integrates seamlessly with existing electronic medical records (EMRs). The solution allows physicians to:
- Dictate clinical notes directly into EMRs using advanced natural language processing.
- Auto-generate medical documentation, including Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) notes, referral letters, and patient summaries, using generative AI.
- Perform instant medical searches with evidence-based resources and clinical guidelines.
- Enhance workflow efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and retrieving patient information quickly.
Unlike traditional voice recognition software, Tali AI goes beyond simple transcription. It understands clinical context, suggests structured notes, and continuously learns to improve accuracy and efficiency.
As part of the CAN Health Network, Tali AI is collaborating with HealthOne and the eHealth Centre of Excellence (eCE) to integrate its voice-powered assistant into primary care clinical workflows. This initiative aims to automate administrative tasks, streamline patient information retrieval, and enhance overall efficiency for physicians.
Last week, CAN Health announced its partnership with HealthOne, marking the first independent primary care provider to join the Network. Early feedback from HealthOne clinicians on this first initiative with Tali AI has been overwhelmingly positive.
The eHealth Centre of Excellence also recently partnered with the CAN Health Network to support the adoption of market-ready Canadian technology solutions that address real-world challenges in primary care. The initiative connects Canadian technology companies with primary care organizations to implement innovative tools that improve care delivery. To learn more, click here.
