December 9, 2024 (Oakville, ON) – The Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network is pleased to welcome Tenzr Health, a Vancouver-based company leveraging wearable sensors, gamification and AI, to help rehabilitation providers remotely support their patients between clinic visits.
Traditional rehabilitation methods come with limitations, including limited in-clinic treatment time, limited ability for therapists to monitor and guide patients outside the clinic, and consequently low patient adherence with the plan of care. Tenzr is changing that by turning rehab into a gamified experience, guiding patients through the recovery journey and leveraging its clinical-grade wearables to precisely track movement quality and frequency, as well as progress towards their rehab goals.
The platform uses advanced sensor technology to capture a detailed range of motion, activity frequency, and patient-reported feedback, providing clinicians with actionable data to tailor personalized, evidence-based rehabilitation plans.
By incorporating gamification, Tenzr is turning rehabilitation into an experience that’s both fun and functional, helping patients stay motivated and track their progress, whether in the clinic or at home. This hybrid approach boosts adherence by encouraging patients to take an active role in their recovery, while also allowing clinicians to monitor progress remotely and adjust treatment in real-time.
As part of a CAN Health Network project, Tenzr is teaming up with Nova Scotia Health’s Innovation Hub to bring this experience to patients through Nova Scotia Health’s Acquired Brain Injury Program. This project will evaluate Tenzr’s ability to improve patient adherence, track rehabilitation progress, and enhance clinical workflows.
