January 13, 2026 (Oakville, ON) – The CAN Health Network is excited to welcome the Black Arcs, a Fredericton-based technology company specializing in community simulation and scenario modeling. By transforming complex systems into clear, interactive visualizations, Black Arcs’ AI-powered planning and decision-support software will help health organizations strengthen service delivery and expand equitable access to care across the communities they serve.

The Black Arcs’ platform Citisketch – rooted in spatial analysis, human-movement modeling, and digital-twin technology – helps planners and decision-makers understand how real communities function and how policy, infrastructure, or service changes will impact the people who rely on them.

With deep expertise in modeling population behaviour, service accessibility, and future scenario forecasting, Black Arcs equips organizations with tools to explore “what-if” questions before making high-stakes decisions. Its work has supported governments, planners, and community organizations across Canada in navigating challenges related to transportation, growth, land-use planning, and public service delivery.

As a Canadian company working at the intersection of data science and community well-being, Black Arcs brings a unique capability to the Network: the ability to create intuitive, evidence-based simulations that help bridge the gap between analytics and real-world planning.

Through the CAN Health Network, Black Arcs will collaborate with Vitalité Health Network on a spatial analysis initiative designed to support more accessible, data-driven health service planning. Using Black Arcs’ advanced AI modelling and visualization tools, the project will help Vitalité better understand community needs, optimize service locations, and improve access to care for rural residents.

We are pleased to welcome the Black Arcs and look forward to working together to push the boundaries of Canadian innovation in service of stronger, more equitable communities.
