November 25, 2024 (Oakville, ON)The CAN Health Network is excited to partner with Josephine Care – a Canadian technology company helping to empower seniors and reshape how we support our aging population.

As Canada’s senior population continues to grow, it has become increasingly critical to find innovative solutions to enhance care and reduce the burden on health care systems.

Launched in 2022, Josephine Care offers smart monitoring systems to help Canadians age in place, and live as independently as possible.

Unlike traditional monitoring technologies, Josephine Care utilizes discreet, non-invasive sensors installed in seniors’ homes. These sensors track daily activities and detect irregularities and changes in patterns, such as unexpected falls or prolonged inactivity, alerting caregivers and family members in real-time.

The solution does not require an application to download. Rather, caregivers and family members receive alerts directly to their personal devices, allowing for easy usability. As a result, caregivers are kept up to date on their loved ones and are able to offer the right care at the right time.

Through the CAN Health Network, Josephine Care will be working with an Edge (health care operator in the Network) to deploy its solution in 300 units across two senior care residences. The goal of the project is to demonstrate that the platform helps reduce unplanned hospitalizations, optimize the work of caregivers, and improve family well-being.
