February 13, 2025 (Oakville, ON) – The Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network is excited to welcome Clarius Mobile Health, a forward-thinking Canadian company that is transforming health care delivery through its cutting-edge ultrasound technology.

Ultrasound plays a critical role in modern medicine, allowing health care providers to make quick, accurate diagnoses. However, traditional ultrasound machines are often bulky, expensive, and difficult to use outside of hospital settings. Clarius Mobile Health created a solution to these challenges with its portable, high-definition ultrasound devices, which are designed to be accessible, easy-to-use, and cost-effective, making quality imaging available to health care professionals in a variety of settings.

Clarius Health’s ultrasound devices offer health care providers the ability to perform real-time imaging directly at the point of care, enabling faster and more informed decisions. These handheld devices are compatible with smartphones and tablets, making them incredibly portable and easy to integrate into clinical workflows. With applications ranging from emergency care to obstetrics and musculoskeletal imaging, Clarius ultrasound devices help health care providers improve patient outcomes by enabling early detection, reducing the need for unnecessary tests, and streamlining patient care.

Through a CAN Health Network commercialization project, Clarius is supporting Vancouver Coastal Health in implementing the point of care ultrasound devices at a number of its long-term care (LTC) homes. This six-month project is designed to improve health outcomes for persons in care by providing early assessments at the bedside, reducing emergency room transfers for LTC residents, reducing the high costs associated with the transfers and improving patient and provider experiences.
