May 13, 2024 – The Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network is excited to announce a new partnership with Agota Health – a Canadian company making it easier for health care organizations to fill more shifts faster.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, healthcare organizations are experiencing increased staffing challenges. When internal staff are unavailable, current processes include manual and time-consuming phone calls and emails to staffing agencies, which can result in costly inefficiencies.

Launched in 2022, Agota Health is a staffing agency management app that helps healthcare facilities easily schedule and communicate with their on-demand/temporary staffing agencies. The Agota Health platform empowers healthcare teams to optimize agency usage with data-driven decision-making.

Agota Health’s app brings all your contracted agencies together in one place, making it easy to collaborate, communicate and confirm shifts on a shared record of truth. Agota Health’s simple-to-use automated technology can save healthcare teams up to 40 hours per week of scheduling and reduce the costs of errors and inefficiencies by 15%.

Through its partnership with the CAN Health Network, Agota Health is working with Sinai Health on a commercialization project aiming to improve the efficiency of staff booking operations for its Unit Administrative Clerks and Ward Clerks, who are currently responsible for this task across two large hospitals that make up Sinai Health – Mount Sinai Hospital and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital.
