Oakville, ON – [May 6, 2026] – The Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning & Innovation and the CAN Health Network have joined forces to advance the testing, adoption and scaling of health innovations across the Canadian health care system.
This partnership brings together two organizations with complementary strengths and a shared commitment to improving patient outcomes and strengthening health systems through practical, real‑world innovation.
The Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning & Innovation is a first-of-its-kind hub based in Kelowna, British Columbia, focused on advancing health systems transformation through collaboration, education, and the practical implementation of innovation. Designed to bridge the gap between promising ideas and real-world application, the Centre brings together health system leaders, clinicians, researchers, and communities to co-create, implement, and scale solutions that improve care delivery – particularly in rural, remote, and underserved regions.
The CAN Health Network is a federally supported, national initiative that connects health care organizations with Canadian technology companies to validate, procure, and scale innovative solutions that address real-world system challenges. Through its “Edge” model, the Network enables health care providers to test and adopt new technologies while helping Canadian companies grow and scale nationally and globally.
“Innovation alone doesn’t transform health systems – implementation does,” said Dr. Dee Taylor, Executive Director, Jim Pattison Centre for Health Systems Learning + Innovation. “Through this partnership, we are combining national infrastructure with community-rooted expertise to ensure solutions are not only adopted, but sustained and scaled in ways that truly improve care.”
“Canada is home to incredible health innovation, but it can be challenging for these solutions to reach patients and providers who need them most,” said Dante Morra, Founder & CEO, CAN Health Network. “This partnership helps strengthen the bridge between innovation and real-world care, to ensure proven solutions can be adopted faster, improve outcomes and drive meaningful impact across Canada’s health system.”
By combining the CAN Health Network’s national integrated marketplace and procurement model with the Centre’s expertise in systems learning, community engagement, and implementation, this partnership will enable faster validation, scaling, and spread of impactful health solutions across BC and beyond.
