Problem Statement: Horizon Health Network is searching for a solution which can streamline the procedural documentation process and consolidate the information in a consistent manner, so employees can easily find, consume, and update it, as required. Being able to find, consume, and easily update procedural information in a consistent manner has a direct impact on patient care.
Objectives: Create maintain and store HHN procedural knowledge in a visual central knowledge base where content owners are able to create and update content, launch new or revised content and monitor usage.
Essential (mandatory) outcomes
The proposed solution must:
- Create visual process content to answer common questions or know latest process flow.
- Embed process maps in Skyline to allow self-serve.
- Provide a streamlined and simple self-serve flows designed for easy navigation.
- Capacity to easily create, edit and update latest process content.
The maximum duration for a project resulting from this Challenge is: 9 months
Like most organizations today, HHN is dealing with a rapidly changing landscape. Therefore, employees need to understand, retain, and execute on a vast number of ever-changing organizational policies and procedures. Many of these processes are undocumented (in the brains of employees), partially documented or documented in such a way that it is difficult for employees to easily find, consume and update the information.
For many employees, this can be overwhelming or frustrating. Without well documented processes, confusion around processes can lead to non-compliance of important regulatory procedures, negatively impact employee productivity, and contribute to a loss of intellectual property when employees leave positions or the organization.
Streamlining the procedural documentation process and the ability to consolidate information in a consistent manner will help employees find, consume, and easily update procedural information, as required.
