November 12, 2024 (Oakville, ON) – The CAN Health Network is joining forces with Canadian not-for-profit, Health Cities, to help drive innovation and enhance patient experience in primary care.

Health Cities is an independent Canadian not-for-profit organization focused on transforming health care by fostering innovation and collaboration in primary care. Based in Alberta, Health Cities creates an ecosystem where innovative solutions can be co-developed, validated, and adopted to address real-world health challenges.

Through this partnership, Health Cities will work closely with the CAN Health Network to expand opportunities for Canadian health-tech companies, providing them with greater access to health care markets and critical resources needed to scale their solutions.

As a partner in the Network, Health Cities will work to identify health care challenges, and address them with cutting-edge, Canadian technologies that deliver real-world impact.

“Health Cities is thrilled to join the CAN Health Network,” said Lisa Laferriere, Vice President, Strategy, Health Cities. “Our focus is on building partnerships that break down barriers to innovation, ensuring that new ideas not only reach the health care system but thrive within it. By working with the CAN Health Network, and our broad network of partners, we’re committed to delivering tailored solutions that make health care more accessible, efficient, and impactful for both patients and providers, while setting new standards for innovation in health care.”

The CAN Health Network is made up of 42 health care organizations (Edges) from coast-to-coast-to-coast that are committed to driving the adoption of homegrown technologies.

This new partnership with Health Cities is part of the CAN Health Network’s strategy to expand its reach within primary care, and support more homegrown companies whose innovations can have an impact on this sector.

“The CAN Health Network is pleased to join forces with Health Cities. This partnership will further our shared goal of creating a more efficient health system by leveraging and championing Canadian solutions,” said Dr. Dante Morra, Founder and Chair, CAN Health Network.
