A national network reaching every corner of the health system
The CAN Health Network is fully operational from coast to coast to coast, with Edges across nine provinces and one territory, and we continue to build the Network and form new connections with health care operators across the country. The Network is organized across the North, West, Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic, Indigenous and private partner Edges, allowing us to work across regional boundaries to identify shared problems, priorities and potential solutions, and to connect health care operators interested in similar technology solutions.
CAN Health is not just about hospitals. Our Edges span the full care continuum: health systems and authorities, primary and community care, specialists and clinics, acute care, long-term care, pharmacy, and lab and diagnostics. Together they serve 85 percent of Canada’s population and hold roughly half of the country’s health care buying power.
Chaque Edge implanté dans les régions du Réseau de santé CAN représente une région/régie de la santé ou un groupe d’organismes de soins de santé qui fonctionne comme un site de placement professionnel de type coopératif. Les entreprises à un stade intermédiaire ou avancé sont jumelées à cet Edge pour une période pouvant aller jusqu’à un an afin d’œuvrer sur les principaux défis liés à la préparation au marché auxquels cet Edge et d’autres organisations similaires du réseau sont confrontés. Les produits qui s’avèrent efficaces sont adoptés au sein du Edge pour être ensuite mis à l’échelle dans le reste du Réseau de santé CAN en utilisant des modèles d’approvisionnement novateurs fondés sur la demande du marché. En réunissant toutes les conditions favorables, notre modèle Edge crée un écosystème d’entreprises concurrentielles à l’échelle mondiale avec pour effet de stimuler le PIB et de générer des possibilités d’emploi de qualité ici chez nous au Canada.
