Torys will be the Network’s exclusive provider of legal workshops and strategy sessions for some of Canada’s top health technology companies.
Torys is an international law firm, with offices in Canada and the U.S. Torys works closely with emerging companies, large corporations and investors across the innovation ecosystem, and supports health technology companies from incorporation through to scaling cross-border and exit. This best-in-class service includes helping founders determine when to fundraise, how to navigate board and employment issues, patent drafting and prosecution, and manufacturing, distribution, licensing and procurement strategies.
Torys’ Head of Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice, Konata Lake, said Torys and the CAN Health Network share a commitment to supporting Canadian companies and growing the country’s life science ecosystem.
“Providing entrepreneurs with the tools they need to create innovations in health care is a top priority for both Torys and CAN Health,” Konata said. “With this partnership, we can help bring down barriers to market access for Canadian life science companies, both domestically and globally. We are proud to partner with CAN Health to give life science companies the support and insights they need.”
CAN Health Network Chair, Dr. Dante Morra, said the Network is excited to partner with Torys. “This partnership provides a unique opportunity for companies in the Network to gain additional levels of support and guidance to help succeed in the marketplace,” Morra said.
Torys and CAN Health are both committed to strengthening Canada’s position as a leader in innovation, and creating an environment that makes it easier to bring innovative Canadian technology into the health care system. You can learn more about Torys on its website.
