May 2, 2024 – The Coordinated Accessible National (CAN) Health Network is pleased to announce its partnership with MedWorks™, a Toronto-based company committed to making high-quality health and wellness services more accessible to Canadians.
Founded in 2021, MedWorks™ is an app that combines high-quality health and wellness services, vendors, and appointment scheduling in one convenient location.
Through a combination of public and private health care coverage, and for-pay services, such as virtual care, physiotherapy, mental health and more, the MedWorks app ensures services are accessible to users in one place. Users can browse the list of nearby vendors, add items to their online “cart” and schedule appointments quickly and easily.
The app also features Maddy – a personal virtual health and wellness coordinator. Users can contact Maddy with a list of required appointments, and Maddy will schedule them and drop them directly into your calendar.
The goal is for users to spend less time finding nearby services and scheduling appointments, and more time focusing on feeling their best.
Through its partnership with the CAN Health Network, MedWorks™ is working with Trillium Health Partners (THP) Insight Health Solutions to customize the app for those who work, learn, and volunteer at THP so they can access health and wellness services offered by Insight and other providers.
